Philippe Claudel, Cyril Montana, Thomas Gunzig, Serge Joncour, Emmanuel Pierrat, Alain Mabanckou, Vincent Ravalec, Christophe Dufossé, Marie Nimier, and others of the new French-lit brat-pack come together in this anthology of optimism.
The project is the brainchild of renowned actress Sylvie Loeillet. Diagnosed with a brain tumor, she immediately knew that dying was out of the question, living and remaining optimistic her only option. And it was on her sick-bed, books piled high on the bedside table, that she realized she was completely unable to do the one thing she loved most: read. From the depths of her illness, she felt in need of a special kind of writing, one that, without sacrificing any literary value, could help readers regain optimism, and with it hope. From this was born View From the Moon.
