Description
Disciples of Passion is the unforgettable story of a Lebanese man and woman rejected by their communities because of their love. Though we will never know their names, we learn through the man’s narration that he is a Christian from the mountain regions and that she is a Muslim from the city. In these times of war, despair overtakes him and as he descends into madness, the line between fantasy and reality becomes blurred. Disciples of Passion studies the relationship between men and women during the Lebanese civil war, which is only the background for the obscure and forbidden areas buried in the depth of human beings where love befriends folly and death.
